3 crafty uses for leftover pie dough

If you have leftover pie dough from your latest baking adventure, don't throw it away! There are actually plenty of creative and delicious ways to use it up. Here are three of our favorites.

1. Pie Crust Cookies

'Pie crust cookies' are a sweet and simple treat that can be whipped up in no time. Just roll out your leftover pie dough, cut it into shapes with a cookie cutter, sprinkle with sugar and bake until golden.

Ingredients:
 - Leftover pie dough
 - Sugar for sprinkling
Instructions:
 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
 2. Roll out your pie dough to about 1/4 inch thickness.
 3. Cut out shapes with a cookie cutter.
 4. Place the cutouts on a baking sheet.
 5. Sprinkle with sugar.
 6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.

2. Hand Pies

'Hand pies' are essentially mini pies that you can hold in your hand. You can fill them with anything you like – sweet or savory.

Ingredients:
 - Leftover pie dough
 - Filling of your choice (fruit, chocolate, cheese, etc.)
 - Egg wash (1 egg beaten with a little water)
 Instructions:
 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
 2. Roll out your pie dough to about 1/4 inch thickness.
 3. Cut out circles with a round cookie cutter.
 4. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each circle.
 5. Fold the dough over the filling and crimp the edges to seal.
 6. Brush the tops of the hand pies with egg wash.
 7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.

3. Pie Dough Cinnamon Rolls

If you've got a sweet tooth, these 'Pie Dough Cinnamon Rolls' are a dream come true. They're easy to make and absolutely delicious.

Ingredients:
 - Leftover pie dough
 - Cinnamon sugar (1 cup sugar mixed with 1 tablespoon cinnamon)
 - Butter, melted
 Instructions:
 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
 2. Roll out your pie dough into a rectangle.
 3. Spread a thin layer of melted butter over the dough.
 4. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar evenly over the butter.
 5. Roll up the dough tightly, starting from the long edge.
 6. Cut the roll into slices.
 7. Place the slices on a baking sheet.
 8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
